The Los Angeles Women’s Empowerment Expo

January 19 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

$20 – $300
The Women’s Empowerment Expo Los Angeles
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOS ANGELES TIMES ESPANOL

The Women’s Empowerment Expo is coming to Los Angeles County on January 26, 2019, for our second women’s conference which will be held at Via Verde Country Club in the beautiful city of San Dimas, CA.

Our mission is to provide the tools, resources, support, and plan to take action to help women/young women overcoming adversity to move forward, to live a life of purpose, and to feel EMPOWERED.

We have partnered with the Los Angeles Times – Los Angeles Times Espanol for this one day conference
to shine the light on topics that have become taboo and are not commonly discussed. Topics will include: Mental Health in Female Entrepreneurship, Overcoming Traumas, Knowing your Worth, Equality, Women of Color, Health and Wellness, and Lack of Women in Male-Dominated Industries. We will also highlight Advocacy for Sexual Abuse/Assault, Domestic Violence, Mental Health, and Anti-Bullying.

We will feature a panel of women in different industries (radio, television, journalism etc.) who are using their voice, sharing their testimony, and using their platform to spread awareness to reach young girls and women needing the support and resources. We will provide the support/resources by introducing organizations and companies who are ready to take action on these issues.

As much as we love helping women, we love helping young girls too. A part of our mission is to reach underprivileged girls, girls in foster care, and girls who are facing challenges in school or with peers. We will aim to support and educate girls transitioning in and out of foster care to prevent them from making choices that lead them into sex-trafficking, drug/alcohol dependence and other issues that may follow.

The conference will feature workshops for the girl’s ages 10-17. Workshops will include: Leadership development skills, Etiquette training, resume building, health education, self-love, personal development, how to deal with bullies, storytelling, embracing their culture, make up tutorials for teens and much more. Free childcare will be provided for teen moms by Rest Assured Sitters so that the young moms may enjoy the workshops. Lunch and goodies will be provided with a youth ticket.

Through this event, we have created a platform and marketplace to support female entrepreneurship for all women with the majority of them being women of color. This event supports female business owners who are starting out in business, do not have a storefront, or are just looking to network to grow their brand or business.

This event was put together by a team of women for women! We are creating jobs, creating marketplaces and creating change. Join us for panel discussions, workshops, shopping, photo ops, pampering and a day of EMPOWERMENT.

Your ticket contributes to creating a space to bring organizations together to make an impact, providing a marketplace for female entrepreneurs, and contributes to providing workshops and tools to help young girls transitioning in and out of foster care.
